Well…they still haven’t moved away from the old GBA style hmm?
Protodude also found some info about both Rockman exe and Shooting Star Rockman’s minor abilities:
- Both Rockmen have their own set of unique abilities.
- SSRockman is capable of locking onto enemies from afar.
- SSRockman can utilize battle chips and even Program Advances.
- WarRock Attack is a battle chip this time around, however, it is unknown if it’s exclusive to SS Rockman.
Hey guys! Yes I know, I haven’t updated this site in an eternity…the reason why is because I haven’t had an internet connection…
This has been happening recently-serious and often critical internet problems-I switched to an entirely different internet service, that took almost eight days…
And the last thing I want to quickly state is that I won’t be on Saito Network as much, I’ll be posting updates of course, but school is catching up with me and my time will be used mostly in that area lol
From a Google translation on Tarbosan’s blog I was able to get some info from the latest issue of CoroCoro:
1. Supposedly, we will still, have both GBA and modern DS/DS Lite/DSi graphics implemented in the game. To be more precise the exact GBA graphics to be used are from EXE 1 (my fave big graphics *fan scream* LOLZ)
Conclusion: Not a shocker. When will Capcom learn to leave the past in the past <_<
2. Game starts out with a battle between Rockman exe. and Heatman exe-Subaru comes in as well as the battle starts.
Conclusion: …how imaginative .
3. Both Rockman exe and Shooting Star Rockman can be operated.
Conclusion: Not surprising either, but it’s original, operating two Mega Man characters. (reminds me of BN 5′s liberation missions *sigh*)
4. Clock man (looks like he isn’t a navi he is a navi lol) is possibly the key for Shooting Star Rockman to travel between the future and past.
Conclusion:…SO OBVIOUS *gasp* I never would have guessed that!! XD

Well…it sounds okay (kinda). We’ll need to see some actual pics from CoroCoro to satisfy this report. Till then guys, that’s all I’ve got for you.
Well guys that’s it for now, will post more when more info is available =D.
Well HELLO guys!! Yep the official OSS teaser web site is up, and with the official announcement that this game is a remake of the first Battle Network: Essentially, this is a Rockman EXE 1 remake for the DS, porting it and adding something extra. (hence the Ryuusei part)
Well guys you can look at the web site for yourself, this is a remake.

On a side note, the official English Mega Man Star Force 3 Satellite Server web page has been updated…and they are actually discussing “locked items like the Noise Cards”, actually telling you how to “unlock them”!
Hey guys! Sorry about the delay, I would have had this up sooner but my router fritzed and it took me a while to get my internet connection back up but anyway here it is:
Yeah well it’s not much…besides the small report mentioning that a “fusion card” and that it’s coming out in Japan this winter
Just got some more info from Dark Messiah’s blog…he claims that this is a remake. If this is a remake…without a doubt a remake…then it may turn out better then I expected in the first place. It may perhaps infer the redoing of the entire Battle Network series…who knows what this may turn out to be!
Well that’s it for now! Will post more when more info is available =D.
From Capcom-Unity’s “Ask Capcom Thread” Seth gives us the down low on what has been “cut out”:
Hi guys,
Here is the info I received from Japan. It’s a bit of a game of “telephone” where my original questions have mutated a bit in translation, but hopefully you can get the gist of it.
- Noise Kaizou Gear
This is a set of licensing item (cards), so it’s not available in US territory.
* But, we’re distributing “White Cards” (one specific kind of cards available in this Noise Kaizou Gear) on our official website.
– Rezon cards
This is a part of “Noise Kaizou Gear”, so it’s not available in US territory.
* We’re not planning to distribute them on our official website.
- Secret Satellite Server
This is a booklet published by Capcom Japan, and it’s not available in US territory.
* But, we’re distributing some of the “Cipher Codes” (which are included in this booklet) on our official website.
- Meteor Server
If this means the “Meteor Server” which the powered up boss appears after collecting certain number of stars on title menu, it’s available in US version, too.
For the record, nobody on the US side made a decision to remove any content–it seems to be a licensing issue. There will be some additional free content coming to Wii-ware soon, as well as more website content, but that’s the best info I could get at the moment.
best,
Seth
Additionally he stated that:
A bit unrelated, I also heard there are some extra battle cards coming to the Nintendo Channel for free dl.
If your Wii isn’t online, they will also be available in Nintendo’s DS Download Stations at retail starting in mid-July.
best,
Seth
Well guys that’s it for now, stay tuned for the next update
Hey guys, yes from an interview at GameTrailer.com with Takeshi Horinouchi, it looks like Rockman exe: Operate Shooting Star is a remake of the very first Battle Network game:
WHAT GAMES ARE YOU PLAYING FOR FUN RIGHT NOW? A remake of Megaman Battle Network which I’ve been working on.
PLUS it was mentioned that some more Mega Man games are in the works:
ANY SECRETS OR PREVIEWS YOU CAN SHARE ABOUT WHAT WE CAN EXPECT FROM THE MEGA MAN SERIES IN THE FUTURE? We are already moving ahead with several new plans not limited to a specific target or hardware, and are working hard to be able to tell you more about it. Please stay tuned!
Now don’t let your hopes die…I’m sure it’s not “just” a remake from 2-D to 3-D Star Force-like graphics…let’s give it some more time before we jump to conclusions.
